- UPDATE. A new website has been made, also an email address, along with the existing Instagram
- UPDATE. We received an international call of opposition to Euro Pride Lisboa 2025 due to their complicity in zionism and we signed the manifesto "No Pride in Zionism".
- PROPOSAL. "Pride is Our Resistance" an alternative pride events idea with AMOQA, 20,21,22 June. AMOQA is arranging queer short film festival with Filmmakers 4 Palestine. The idea is let's put an event, a picnic same weekend and share it with a slogan for visibility. Visibility for queer opposition, a visible/clean support for Palestine, feeling empowered and an immigrant/refugee pride!
- PROPOSAL. 21,22 June. Discussion about possible locations, regular picnic or beach picnic, charges at beaches, food, drinks, safety in numbers. Maybe Edem? About 10 people said they'd like to join ❤️
- PROPOSAL. to create a video/s in solidarity with Istanbul Trans Pride (23rd June) and the inevitable violence that happens.
- PROPOSAL. event about queer religion / religion as/for/by queers, as a push back against common absolutist refusals of religion.
- "imperialism created Islamophobia as a distraction"
- paraphrasing Zizek: "it was better for the west to deal with religion than communism"
- religion and resistance to the status quo
- there are no mosques, muslim cemeteries in Athens
- We talked about our personal/political experiences in/with other organisations in Athens.
-"As an activist I thought people would ask my experiences, I thought they would show curiosity like they would ask what feminists discussing in Istanbul right now, but this never happened. I went to a meeting, had some suggestions in mind, but left without saying them. I felt like I was being looked down upon."
-"Yes I had that kind of expectation too, I wish I could add something from myself"
-We talked about if we are joining protests. Some said they feel safer (than Turkey). Some said because they don't know their rights and they are immigrant they don't feel safe, they need more courage.
- FOOD. We ate amazing! From Antakya dolma to Thai spring rolls... Potato salad, beetroot salad, lentil, kısır, homemade mayonnaise, apricot pie and tea!
